Why a redesign?
Logos can become outdated since graphic design trends come and go. A rebrand can help bring a new life into the company and make it feel fresh and exciting again. Globit wants to modernize their visuals and create a cohesive brand identity while aligning its new values with the designs.
Solution
We rebranded Globit’s visual identity to align it with its new values. We redesigned a wide range of assets in this process, starting from the logo and ending with the website.
We differentiated the brand identity by reflecting power and agility together. A fluid icon, which is reminiscent of data, is combined with geometric typography. For a modern twist, we used digitalized colors and added a software-like feeling. The letters I and T are slightly hidden in the icon.
We care about sustainability: that’s why each brand asses is delivered in editable formats. The website is also built on the WordPress CMS platform.
The Creative Brief
Our design brief involves creating a new logo for Globit to modernize their visual identity and create a cohesive brand image that aligns with their new values. The new logo should convey a powerful message of transformation and strength, symbolizing integration and reflecting the brand's expertise and values of trust and reliability. The design should be professional, modern, and easily recognizable, with a strong and legible font selection and a simple and professional color scheme. Inspired by logos like Udemy, DocuSign, and Bowery, the client prefers logos that consist of characters and admire the Volkswagen emblem for its attractive initials. The design should be visually appealing, memorable, appealing to corporate audiences, and adaptable to various mediums and sizes, including digital and print media.
Visual Research
During my design research for logo ideation, I explored a range of colors and logos, drawing inspiration from Behance's vast design community. I focused my research on technology companies, analyzing the unique features of their logos and color schemes. I paid close attention to how they use typography, color, and symbols to convey their brand identity and values. Through my research, I observed a common trend among technology companies to use blue and green colors in their logo design. Blue is often used to convey a sense of trust, reliability, and professionalism, while green is associated with innovation, growth, and eco-friendliness. Many tech companies use these colors to communicate their commitment to providing reliable and innovative solutions while being socially responsible.
Design Trends
I analyzed the logos of several technology companies to gain a deeper understanding of how they use color and typography to convey their brand identity. Through this research, I gained valuable insights into the latest design trends and identified the key elements that make a logo successful. I utilized my findings to create a logo that is modern, memorable, and representative of the brand's values and mission. By incorporating these trends and design features, I aimed to create a logo that effectively communicates Globit's expertise and commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions.
Takeaways
• When designing a logo for a technology company, consider using blue and green colors to communicate trust, reliability, innovation, and growth.
• Choose typography that reflects the brand's personality and values, and consider using symbols or icons to quickly communicate the brand's industry or offering.
• Keep the logo design simple and easily recognizable to make it more memorable and versatile.
Sketching
During my sketching process, I focused on incorporating elements that would represent Globit as an IT company that deals with data. I also considered how data represents communication and decided to incorporate elements that would convey the fluidity and interconnectedness of data. I explored incorporating smooth lines and curves to represent the flow of information and experimented with different color schemes that would enhance the design's visual impact. Ultimately, my aim was to create a logo that not only represented Globit's expertise in the field but also communicated their commitment to innovation and integration.
User Interface
During my design process, I faced the challenge of balancing aesthetics with functionality.
I utilized a user-centered design approach, which involved gathering feedback from stakeholders and users at each stage of the design process. This approach helped me to refine the design, ensuring that it met the needs of both the business and the end-users. To address the challenge of conveying the complexity of the treasury operations industry, I conducted thorough research and analysis to identify the key features and functionalities that were essential for Globit's customers. I then worked closely with the Globit team to understand their customer needs and pain points, which allowed me to design a user interface that effectively addressed their concerns.
Through iterative testing and collaboration with the Globit team, I designed a visually appealing and functional interface that incorporated data visualization techniques and intuitive layouts. In addition to designing the layout, I also created custom icons that enhanced the overall user experience. To create an informative and engaging design, I incorporated data visualization techniques to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. I also used an intuitive and user-friendly layout, which made it easy for users to navigate and interact with the platform. Additionally, I chose a color scheme and typography that reflected Globit's brand identity and values, which helped to establish a strong and cohesive visual presence.
Overall, my successful design solutions were a result of a collaborative and iterative process with the Globit team, where we constantly reviewed and refined the design based on user feedback and market trends. This approach allowed me to create a user interface that not only effectively conveyed the complexity of the treasury operations industry but also met the needs and expectations of Globit's customers.
